Orba Grace Allred was born on February 23, 1936. She passed away on October 4, 2022 after resting and spending time with family.

Orba was preceded in death by parents Austin and Grace Allred and ten brothers and sisters.

Survived by Jack Welch; son Ronnie Lee Welch, Nashville, TN; daughters Sheri Llane Welch, Nashville, TN and Pamela Lynne Williams (David) Lakeville, MN; Grandchildren Russ Williams (Reagan), Denver, CO; Mason Williams, Aberdeen, SD; Laura Williams, Nashville, TN; Great grandson Tuner Williams, Denver, CO. Also survived by brother Gene Allred and sister Clata Perry.

Orba worked more than 30 years for Bell South Telephone Company in numerous jobs, retiring in 1991 as a technical trainer where she lead and managed Bell South employees.

She returned to school and earned a Masters Degree, Tennessee Teacher Certification, and Specialization as an English Language Teacher. She was an educator for more than twelve yers in the Metro School System at Cohn Adult and Antioch High Schools, where she taught English to more than forty language groups from around the world.

Orba accepted the Lord as her savior at an early age and was baptized in the waters of Dale Hollow Lake. She was active in church all her life, most recently at Crievewood United Methodist Church where she has been a member for many years. She was active in the Builders Sunday school Class.
