Mr. Norman Ray Jones of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, he was 81 years old.
He was born in Newport, Arkansas on April 23, 1941, to the late James Albert and Sarrah Manuel Jones.
Norman enjoyed cutting his grass and bowling. He liked anything mechanical, especially John Deere Tractors and old cars. He loved his church family at Charlotte Heights Church of Christ. Norman was a family man and enjoyed his time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids whether it was celebrating special occasions or eating a meal together.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James “Bull” Jones, Carrol Jones, Benny Jones, Dennie Jones, and James “Jimbo” Jones.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 42 years, Roberta; children Diane Kirby (Kenny), Rhonda Renee Rives, and Paul Albert Jones; stepson, Jonas Avrit, Jr.; siblings, Donald Jones (Reiko) of Denver, Colorado, Noyal Jones (Agnes), and Vickey Woodruff (Charles); grandchildren, Shawn Richards, Deanna Roberson, Jason Rives, Rhianna Rives, Candy Raye, Crystal Roberts, and Christy Avrit; great-grandchildren, Layton Richards, Caffery Richards, Zala Richards, Katelyn Lee, Aiden Witt, Alerster Rives, Leonard Williams, Luna Lewis, Lionel Lewis, Katalayah Raye, Khamari Raye, Kyngsleigh Raye, and Nevaeh Roberts.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 10, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the funeral home. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
