Norma Ordonez Berena, age 76, of Hermitage, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Norma was born in Manila, Philippines and was the daughter of the late, Rodolfo Ordonez and Esperanza Sales Ordonez.
She was a member of Saint Stephen Catholic Community and was an active member of the Filipino American community. She was an early preschool teacher for 22 years and was awarded teacher of the year twice. Before migrating to the United States, Norma was an accountant and a transportation business owner in the Philippines. She was a cultural dancer with the Philippine American Association of Middle Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Sanchez.

Children – Douglas (Andrey) Sanchez, Jr., Jennifer (Wade) Sanchez, Jan (Charlie) Berena and David (Magan) Berena
Siblings – Josefina (Leonard, deceased) Headley and Perla (Dr. Edmundo) Magpantay
Grandchildren – Joshua Sanchez, Sean Moran, Keana Sanchez, Heaven Lopez, Harmon Lopez and Dylan Sanchez
Fur-grandchildren – Wolfie, Sadie, Blueberry, Turbo, Karma, Sassy and Sprinkles
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory, TN. It was Norma’s request that you refrain from wearing black or red attire.
Flowers accepted or memorials be made to the St. Stephen Catholic Community.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Bond Memorial chapel and from 1-2 p.m. Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Community.
