Norma Cox Wilson, age 91, of Nashville, died Sunday May 18, 2025, at Charter Senior Living of Hermitage under the care of Gentiva Hospice.
Norma was born June 7, 1933, daughter of the late John Alvin Cox and Louise Farrell Cox. She was a graduate of East Nashville High School. She practiced her secretarial skills at State Farm Insurance, Metro Public Library, and Middle Tennessee Anesthesiology.
When her children were born, she was a stay-at-home mom until each one started school. She was a faithful member of Riverwood Church of Christ. She and her husband, Bob, were active with the Civitans of Nashville for many years.
Norma is survived by her children, Sheryl (Vaughn) McKeel, Pam (Tim) Reid, Kristie (Danny) Lee, Rob (Brandee) Wilson, grandchildren, Megan (Donald) Layne, Meredith (Rob) Davis, Marissa (Philip) Stinett, Samantha Lee, Justin Lee, Turner Hutchinson, Alexander Wilson, and Mollee Wilson, and numerous great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother Roger (Nancy) Cox, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert “Bob” Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 12 noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Tim Reid, Phil Sanders, and Greg Ball officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm and on Wednesday at 11 am until the service.
The Pallbearers will be Justin Lee, Turner Hutchinson, Alexander Wilson, Donald Layne, Rob Davis, Philip Stinnett, Gavin Layne, and Liam Reid. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
