Nelly Elizabeth Hopkins, born on February 21, 1930, passed away at age 92 at her home in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
She leaves behind five children including three priests, Fathers Peter, Edward, and John L.C.; Sister Catherine Marie O.P., and psychologist, Dr. Stephen Hopkins.
Nelly was born in Paris, France and educated by the Madams of the Sacred Heart.
She graduated from Manhattanville College and received a Masters from Syracuse University. She married the late Peter J. Hopkins, Esq. and they raised their family in Cazenovia, New York.
Visitation will be at St. Henry’s Church on Saturday, October 29 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia and the Legionaries of Christ.
