Minnie E. Overstreet was born on February 21, 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee to parents, Luther and Bertha Carroll. She passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 82.
Minnie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, John L. Overstreet; father, Luther Carroll; mother, Bertha Carroll; daughter-in-law, Connie Overstreet; grandson, Jonathan Overstreet; brothers, Donnie Carroll and Ronnie Carroll; and sisters-in-law Becky Carroll, Barbara Morton and Beverly Wooden.
Minnie is survived by her sons John L. Overstreet, Jr. (Linda), Ronnie E. Overstreet, Bobby G. Overstreet (Kim); grandchildren Cody Overstreet, Tyler Overstreet, Taylor Overstreet, Connor Overstreet, Alex Overstreet, Dayton Moyer, Cole Overstreet, and Dylan Overstreet; siblings Elmer Carroll (Gayle), Luther Carroll Jr. (Vickie), Bobby Carroll, Pam Carroll Binkley; and sisters-in-law Deborah Qualls and Linda Davis.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends on Thursday, February 5, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 6, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home. On Friday, A Celebration of Minnie’s Life will follow in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home. Following the service, Minnie will be inurned in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
