Mildred Wanetta Haskins (Millie), age 84, went to be with her heavenly Father, on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
She was born on October 27, 1940 to the late William Elvis Haskins (Jack) and the late Nellie Irene Green.
Besides her mother and father, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Eugene Haskins, William (Billy) Howard Haskins, William (Jackie) Elvis Haskins, Jr.; sons, William (Doug) Douglas Martin, Alvin Lee Martin and George Lee Stafford. Her daughters, Joyce Nell Salter (Martin) and LaDonna Lynn Ellis (Martin). Her grandchildren, Jacob Martin, Amelia Martin, and Jon Seagroves; and great-grandchildren, Belle Gantt and Rowan Ward.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Martin; daughters, Sheila Dyer (Teddy) and Lisa Napier (Shannan); 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Millie retired from the State of Tennessee Appeals Tribunal at the age of 78. She enjoyed writing poetry and short stories, gardening, tending to her flowers, and making glass bird feeders. She had a love for her Native American heritage, cooking (famously known for her homemade biscuits). She was a caretaker to all animals and would feed the raccoons, skunks, and possums on her porch.
She loved the Lord and would hand out God Knows… Just Pray messages to everyone.
She will be forever treasured and so greatly missed.
