OBITUARY: Megan Brittney Raymond

Megan Brittany (Parman) Raymond, born December 17, 1987, in Rutherford County, TN, was unexpectedly sent to her heavenly home March 1, 2025. She was a beloved mother of 12 yr old Aleah, devoted daughter of Gail Cottrell, a head butting – hold your own sibling to brother Mike Parman and sister Tiffany (Cottrell) Brown (Austin), a doting Aunt to Alex & Alaya Brown whom lit up when she came to see them, a sassy niece to Darlene Anderson, a loving cousin to Hannah (Anderson) Stevenson (Garrett) and 2nd cousin to Oliver (her hair color twin), a placeholder in many extended family and friends’ hearts that will forever be remembered. She was predeceased by her father Michael Baxter Parman.

Megan (Brittany), as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love and compassion. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her passing through their life’s journey. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her no matter how briefly.

The Celebration of Life to honor the life of Megan Brittany (Parman) Raymond will be held on March 15th, 2025, at Ellis Funeral Home 2627 Nolensville Pk, Nashville, TN 37211. Visitation starting at 9:00 am with a small service from 1:00 – 2:00.

Although Megan’s (Brittany’s) physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue with us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. As you continue to live on up there Megan (Brittany) and watch over us, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
