Max William Howland Sr., age 73, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Max was the owner of Service Master and a former Metro Bus Driver. He served as a former President of the Donelson Rotary Club and was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Max was an avid golfer. and always quick with a joke. He never met a stranger and loved his family dearly, especially his wife of 45 years, Shirley.
Max is preceded in death by his brothers, Howard P. Howland Jr. and Harry D. Howland.
Survived by his loving wife, Shirley R. Howland; daughter, Laurie Dobbs(Bill); son, Max William (Billy) Howland Jr. (Julie); grandsons, Ben Goddard (Maicy), William Dobbs and Wallace Dobbs; granddaughter, Presley Dobbs; sisters, E. Suzanne Logan and Thelma Jeanne Holland.
A funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Billy Howland, Bill Dobbs, William Dobbs, Wallace Dobbs, Ben Goddard, Curtis Holland and Charles Brownson serving as pallbearers.
