Obituary for Mattie Pearl Smith

Smith, Mattie Pearl, 100, of Nashville passed away July 4th.

Mattie was an avid reader and writer, recording her memories to paper regularly. She was a real estate broker and a Democratic Executive Committeewoman. With her husband, William Albert, she also owned Log Cabin Liquor Store on Donelson Pike, with the giant pink elephant as its mascot.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, William Albert Smith; Parents, William A. and Mabel Jones Moreland; and Sons, Albert D. Smith, David Smith, Michael Smith, and Patrick Smith.

Mattie is survived by her children, William (Teresa) Smith, Janann (Tony) Prince, and Wayne (Gyuhee) Smith; 8 Grandchildren; 10 Great-grandchildren; and 3 Great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be announced in the near future.
