Mary S. Carlson, age 82 of Madison, Tennessee passed from this life to her Heavenly home on Friday, February 6, 2026. Mary was born on September 30, 1943 in Old Hickory, Tennessee to the late Charles Luther and Clyde Smith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Hooper; second husband, Jim Carlson; brother, Charles Smith; sisters, Bonnie Turner and Becky Surles.
She is survived by her children, Eddie (Karolena) Hooper, Kirk (Kate) Hooper, Mike (Thelma) Carlson, Wayne (Tonya) Carlson and Melissa Maynard; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 13th at 12:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church in Madison, Tennessee with Chuck Frazier officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Hermitage, Tennessee with Robert Hooper, Mike Carlson, Wayne Surles, Chris Faries, Wayne Carlson and Doug Turner serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations to Faith Baptist Church in Mary’s honor.
