Mary Frances Rosa, 96, died on November 2, 2023 at the home of her beloved friend and caregiver, Donita Abernathy. Mary was born in Nashville, TN, on December 17, 1926.
She was the daughter of Benjamin Porter Edwards and Martha Lewis Edwards.
Mary was a lifetime resident of Nashville. She spent her early years in East Nashville and graduated from East High School.
Following graduation, Mary had a fourteen year career at the Federal Reserve Bank. She later went on to follow her passion and her gift of selling to have a successful and fulfilling career in real estate. Mary was well known for her love of friends, laughter and family. She was especially fond of music anyone would tell you she knew every word to any song you would throw at her. She could always “name that tune” in just one note!
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; her son, John V “Johnny” Dobbs, and her brother BP “Pete” Edwards. She is survived by her son, Mike (Nancy) Dobbs; stepdaughter, Veronica (AI) Makin; grandsons, Seth (Nina) Dobbs; and Shane Lavender. Granddaughter, Jennifer (Hunter) Orr and step-granddaughters Amy Mullen and Tracey (David) Declet. Two nieces; Nelda Clements and Joanna Qualls. Mary had 5 great-grandchildren.
