Mary Binkley Williams passed peacefully to Heaven on Monday, January 23, 2023, after 98 years well lived.
A fifth generation Nashvillian, she greeted each day with a Pollyanna attitude and a red lipstick smile. Combining her love of Nashville and people, Mary started Mary Williams Guide Service, the last of her three careers in which she claimed to have “never worked a day in her life.” Mary deeply loved her Lord, her family and her friends of all ages.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Thurman Williams; and her sons, Charlie and Mike Williams.
Mary is survived by children, Vickie (Mike) Williams, Marilyn (Ken) Switzer, Sam (Lisa) Williams and Doree (Stewart) Hubbard and adored by her 10 grandchildren, Annie B. Williams, Charlie Joe (Melissa) Williams, Anderson (Katie) Williams, Michael Williams, Amy (Olney) Todd, Marshall (Sheri) Switzer, Mary-Pullias (Josh) Henderson, Maclellan Hubbard, Cole Hubbard and Channie Hubbard; as well as, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 5 p.m. (visitation 3-5 p.m.) at Otter Creek Church, 409 Franklin Rd. Brentwood, TN 37027. Graveside service will be Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike. Nashville, TN 37216.
