Mary “Betsy” Elisabeth McAdams, age 84, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, just one day shy of her 85th birthday. She was born on March 2, 1941, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Betsy was a proud graduate of Antioch High School, Class of 1961. She was the beloved wife of Carl McAdams Jr., with whom she shared 63 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, faithfulness, and devotion.
A devoted sports fan, Betsy especially enjoyed cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Kansas City Chiefs. She had a creative spirit and a servant’s heart. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family. Gatherings around the table, celebrations, and simple everyday moments brought her the greatest joy.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Carl McAdams Jr.; her sons, John McAdams and Carl McAdams III “Mac”; and three nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hardy Davenport Sr. and Elisabeth Davenport; her brother, James Hardy Davenport Jr.; and her nephew, James Edward Davenport.
Betsy’s legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
