Our beloved son, Martyn Basil Binkley, passed away on 03/31/2026 in Franklin, TN. He was born on 08/01/1994 in Roosevelt, Utah, to James Binkley and Billie Davis.
Martyn was a talented musician who spent his life creating and sharing music, especially progressive house, which was his favorite. From his best friend Josh Oakley: Martyn was a brilliant musician and artist. He was a loving soul, a best friend, a brother. He is summed up by his favorite quote, “Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn’t want to live there.” He will never be forgotten, and he will always be loved. And his other best friend, Chris Johnson: Martyn was a good friend with a deeply caring heart. It showed in his passions, such as music, in the songs he made or the lyrics he wrote to accompany them.
His views on life, the world, and others around him and trying to spread the awareness of taking care of those you speak to even if you don’t know them because it’s not always known what a person is going through and doing his best to be uplifting to others and wanting the best for them. I’m glad to have met him and had the chance to call him my best friend, which he always will be.
Martyn is survived by his parents; his brothers Frankie Davis, Hayden (Sivmey) Binkley, and Ethan (Alicia) Binkley; his grandparents Larry and Kathy Davis; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Reeder Binkley. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
Please sign the guestbook for the family.
