Our beloved mother, Margie Juanita Richardson Sweeney, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep, just days prior to her 100th birthday.
She was a devoted mom who cherished her family above all else. Her nurturing love reached far beyond her own children, touching every family member who needed her.
A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Margie went on to LSU, where she met the love of her life, Hugh Sweeney.
She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Lee Sweeney and his wife, Beth; Susan Hunt; and Kathy Reiter; grandchildren, Kathryn Hunt and her husband, John; Kenneth Hunt and his wife, Claudia; Reed “Buck” Reiter; Susie Arthur and her husband, Jonah; and great-granddaughter, Adeline Arthur.
