OBITUARY: Malcom ‘Buddy’ Patterson Rittenberry Jr.

Malcom “Buddy” Patterson Rittenberry Jr., age 86, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 2, 1938 to Malcom Patterson Rittenberry, Sr. and Winnie Rittenberry. Buddy was married to Judy Wilburn Rittenberry in July of 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee and to this union they had a precious baby girl, Deborah Christina Rittenberry.

Buddy is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Wilburn Rittenberry; his daughter, Deborah Christina Rittenberry; his father, Malcom Patterson Rittenberry, Sr.; his mother and stepfather, Winnie (Bill) Pope.

Buddy was survived by his beloved baby sister and caretaker, Janet (Victor) Nolasco; his sister, Brenda Land; his brother, Jimmy (Anita) Pope and a host of nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family & friends for Buddy will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204 with a celebration of life to follow at 1:00 PM.
