Lois Duncan- Age 93 of Nashville, TN. May 29, 2026. Preceded in death by husband, Leon Duncan; father, William C. Younce; mother, Hannah Younce; brother, Robert Younce; and son-in-law, Ronald Gilliam. Survived by her children, Sandra Gilliam, Lisa (Tony) Wynn and Andrew Duncan; granddaughters, Vanessa Haines (Brandon Skolnik), Jamie (Robert) Decker, Christy Brake; and 7 great grandchildren.
Lois was born in Louisville, KY and later moved to Richmond, KY where she attended Model High School. After graduation, she attended Fugazzi Business College where she earned her business degree. Lois and Leon were married on June 7, 1952, in Richmond, KY. They began their married life in Chicago, IL and moved to Clearwater, FL before settling in Nashville in 1955 and raising their family there. Lois and Leon were married 66 years, they enjoyed spending time at the lake, following KY basketball, golfing, traveling with friends, backyard barbecues and being surrounded by their growing family.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, June 4. 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at Woodbine Funeral Home, HICKORY CHAPEL, 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville, TN. Graveside service and interment will be following the visitation at 1:45 p.m. at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
