Lemuel Carl Salyers passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at age 82.
Lem was born in Blackmont KY to Callie Dorton Wilder and Nelson Wilder.
He served in the United States Air Force. As a civilian, he was an Engineer with the CSX Railroad.
Mr. Salyers is survived by wife Deborah Hill Salyers; children: Pamela Salyers (Jeff) Jones, Greg (Melissa) Capps, and Michael (Ann) Salyers; grandchildren: Kristen (Stephen) Dill, Ashley Capps, Courtney (Josh) Smotherman, Bethany (Ken) Moody, and Rachel Salyers; siblings: Ralph (Dixie) Brooks, Mitch Wilder, Bobby (Wanda) Houston, Nelson Eddie (Mary Anna) Wilder, Betty Sue Osborne, and Terry Lee (Mary Jane) Wilder; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of children, Sherry Salyers, and parents Callie and Nelson Wilder.
The Celebration of Life is at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at The Olde Church (502 Pennlyn Ave), Cumberland Gap TN. The service will be followed by a luncheon and memory sharing at the facility.
