Leigh Binkley, age 84, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 25, 1939, to the late Chester Calvin Binkley and Alma (Wilson) Binkley.
She was a member of Richland Free Will Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Alma Binkley; and sister, Christine Dozier.
Leigh is survived by her daughters, Crystal Reid (Hugh) and Erica Morgan; and grandchildren, Allison Reid Rowland (Colin), Katherine Leigh Reid, Wilson Hugh Reid, Justus Grant Hollis, and Jude Doyle Hollis.
Leigh was fiercely independent, loving, and hard-working. Leigh worked as a quality specialist for Metropolitan Life for 32 years, then built a second career in management in health insurance for another 26 years. Leigh was a faithful member of East Nashville Free Will Baptist Church until its closing, where she taught Sunday School and served in countless other roles. She treasured God, her family and close friends, and loved to share stories about life.
Funeral service will be Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 3 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Dr. Stanley Outlaw, Reverend Doug Little, and Dr. Ken Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be the same day from 1 pm until the hour of service at 3 pm.
