Laura Ashlee Wilkerson

Laura Ashlee Wilkerson, age 29, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on February 10, 2022, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon, Tennessee, due to Heart complications.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Alma Cunningham, Wesley Cunningham, Frank Richardson, Ronnie Wilkerson, Betty Curtis, and cousin Wendi Glass.

Laura was born on March 23, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee, to Lockie Richardson and Randy Wilkerson.

Laura was a very loving and compassionate person who loved to be silly. She had the most beautiful soul that can never be replaced. She was a lover of music, animals, dancing, and the outdoors. She had so much charisma and charm. She was funny, outgoing, resilient, and vivacious, but she was also introverted and introspective. She was a symbol of beauty and grace, she fiercely loved her family and friends no matter the distance or time apart.

We will always remember her infectious smile, piercing hazel eyes, radiant beauty, and caring personality. She was adored as a daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, friend, and mother, and being loved by Laura was constantly an astonishing gift.

When you think of Laura, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. Don’t hold grudges, and every chance you can, tell someone you love them.

Laura never wanted to be defined only by her mistakes. She was a beautiful, intelligent young woman. She believed strongly in second chances, maybe because she craved another chance for herself.

We take comfort in knowing that Laura is surrounded by light and free from her struggles. We would have given anything for her to experience that freedom in this lifetime. Our grief over losing her is infinite and her presence in our lives will be sorely missed forever.

In addition to her parents, Lockie and Randy, Laura is survived by her enormous loving Family.
