Mr. Larry O’Neal McClerkin was born on December 23, 1974, in Decaturville, TN to Larry Gene and Betty Jane McClerkin. He moved to Fairview, TN where he met and married the love of his life, Crystal Faulkner.
Larry loved fishing and music … country to rap. He enjoyed mowing the grass, working on cars, eating soul and home cooked food, and the holidays. Most of all, he loved spending time with all the children in his life. He worked with Captain D’s for 26 years. It was the only job he ever had and absolutely loved it.
Larry passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 50 years. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Betty McClerkin, mother-in-law, Shirley Faulkner, and god-father-in-law, Jerry Sullivan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal McClerkin, daughters, Alexis McClerkin (Jordan) and Yvonna McClerkin; grandchildren, Kamari, Kalani, Jordan, Jr., and River; the mother of his children, Dana McClerkin, sister-in-law, Lorie Acey (Dennis), god-children, Bradley and Amelia, 11 nieces and nephews, fur babies, Roko and Duke, and countless foster and TPS family.
Visitation for Larry will be at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN on Wednesday, March 26th between the hours of 4-8pm and again on Thursday, March 27th from 11am until the service time of 1pm.
Pallbearers will include Jordan Griffith, Chris Cravens, Sam Weatherly, Gary Baker, and Dennis Acey. Honorary pallbearers will be Kamari McClerkin and Tony Herren.
Following the service, Larry will be laid to rest at Slaughter Cemetery, 6619 Slaughter Road, Primm Springs, TN. The staff of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home has the honor of serving the McClerkin Family.
