Larry Joe Carter, age 81 of Joelton, passed away December 30, 2025. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Larry served his country in the US Airforce and retired from the Metro Nashville Police Department after 35 years of service.
Preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Retha Carter; brothers, Donald Carter and David Carter. He is survived by his daughters, Tina Brian (Ed), Tammany Carter, and Senthy Spears (Casey); grandchildren, Caleb Carter Brian (Jenna), Nicolas Andrew Brian (Leah), Kaden Avery Carter, Ty Carter Cunningham, Takyra Marie Carter, Michayla Ann Stuart, Amelia Jean Walley, Ava Skye Cohen, and Amory Joseph Spears; great-grandchildren, Everly Christine Brian, Emmett Shepard Brian, and Bonnie Mae Brian; brothers, Kenneth Carter and Danny Carter, and a host of other family and friends.
