Kenneth “Ken” Hall Pinkston, age 81 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

Ken Pinkston was predeceased by his parents, Wilma and Joe Hall Pinkston, and by his brother Michael Pinkston.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anne (Hodge); His children, Jon and Aline Pinkston and Alison Pinkston; Grandchildren, Timothy, Noah, Donovan, Camille, Lucas and Aidan Pinkston, Caleb and Jonathan Stovall; His Siblings in Law; his Nieces and Nephews, and Cousins.

Ken grew up in Bedford County, graduating from Shelbyville Central High School. He graduated from Martin Methodist College, MTSU, Birmingham School of Law, and Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management. Ken began his career at Ingram, Armistead, Wallace, which grew into the global brokerage firm, Willis (formerly Corroon and Black/Willis Corroon), from which he retired. He served as CEO of Willis North America, and Vice Chair of Global Operations. He served on the Board of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers in Washington DC.

Ken was a loving and devoted husband, father, granddad, and friend, always ready to help anyone who needed him. He was interested in those he encountered; learning their stories, which he never forgot; making precious friends throughout his personal life, church life, career, and NHC family. He tutored elementary kids, went on mission trips with Alison and Jon, as well as with other youth after he retired.

Ken was a faithful member of Crievewood UMC and Fellowship Forum Sunday School class. He served on most committees, Men’s Club, Adult Sunday School Class teacher and Choir member.

Ken was involved in the Community. He served many years on the Martin Methodist College Board; as well as serving as Chairman. He served on the boards of the Methodist Foundation, Community Care Fellowship, the Pencil Foundation, and the Middle Tennessee Council of Boy Scouts of America.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 12:30 -1:45 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Ken’s life at 2:00 p.m. at Crievewood UMC, 451 Hogan Road, Nashville, 37220. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
