Kathleen Ryan, age 79 of Old Hickory TN, passed away on January 21, 2025.
Kathleen Honoria Burkhardt Ryan was born in Brooklyn, New York to Elizabeth Virginia Kabak Burkhardt and James Burkhardt.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from St. John’s University in Brooklyn and her RN at Aquinas in Nashville TN. She loved British television and drinking hot tea. She also enjoyed reading and smoking her cigarettes.
Kathleen is survived by her children Elieen (Doug Brantley) Ryan, Kathleen Ryan, Kenan (Rebecca) Ryan, and Maureen “Moe” Ryan; granddaughter: Brooke Fielder; and siblings: Mary Beth (Terrence) Dillon, Eileen Kaplan, and Jim (Geraldine) Burkhardt.
She is preceded in death by husband “Jerry” Jeremiah Ryan, parents Elizabeth “Betty” Burkhardt and James “Jim” Burkhardt, and special fur baby Liffey.
The Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
