Julie Dawn Murphy, born April 26, 1957, and passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 69.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Cecil Dorris; husband, Kenneth Murphy; daughter, Shara Murphy Crosslin.
Julie was the youngest of four children and survived by her brother, David Dorris of Anchorage, Ak; and her sisters, Margery Mayfield of Hendersonville, Billie Dorris of Lafayette, Tn. She is also survived by her son, Link Murphy.
Julie grew up in Greenbrier, TN, and later raised her children Nashville and Gallatin before settling in Lafayette, TN, where she and Kenneth spent the last few years of their lives. Julie was a beloved wife of Kenneth and a devoted mother to Shara and Link. Julie was also a proud grandmother to Link and Shara’s precious children. She adored gardening, sitting on her porch at dusk, spending time with her family and also butterflies were her favorite. Symbolizing her personal growth, joy, and the freedom she carried in her heart. Julie was a quiet nurturer, always offering comfort and love to those around her. Her warm smile, though now stilled, will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
