Judy-C.-Meadows-Gillum

Mrs. Judy C. Gillum, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the age of 74.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Meadows and Maggie Raines, brother, Johnny Meadows, sisters, Cora Bell Meadows, Jewel Dean Meadows Johnson, Grace Meadows Lane, Naomi Meadows Reece, Ann Meadows Anderson, and Linda Meadows Davenport.

Judy is survived by her husband, Michael W. Gillum, son, Eric Lee Hall (Jamie), daughter, Brooke Gillum Kent (Matt Gregory), sisters, Barbara Meadows Langford and Cloy Meadows Kinnear. She is also survived by multiple grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

Judy was a loving, devoted, and faithful wife. She was a lioness of a mother and fiercely protective of her children and made sure they felt cherished, guided, safe, and loved, every single day, without fail. She was the best “MiMi” to her grandchildren, as well as a handful of other children that came into her life in various times and ways – and in classic Judy fashion, she made them all feel like they were just as important and just as loved, as if they had always been there.

She had more friends than anyone could imagine, because of the loyal, trustworthy, and attentive friend that she was to others. And as Cliché’ as all this sounds, there is one thing that sets it apart: When it came to Judy, every single word of it is true. And while there is so much more that could be said about this wonderful woman, there isn’t enough time in the day to write it all down.

So, I will leave you with this: Judy was a true Angel on Earth, sent here to touch each and every one of us in her own way. She succeeded like nobody else ever could. We are all better, for having known her, for having loved her, and most of all, for having been loved by her. And we will miss her every day until the day we meet her again.

A celebration of life service for Judy will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street, on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 12:00 PM, officiated by Glenn Reece. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 AM. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
