Joyce Annette Andrews, age 65, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in 2025. She was born in Adamsville, Alabama, in 1959, to the late Will and Cornelia Grayson.
Joyce was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mother Elenor Oliver, Father Wil Grayson, and her grandmother /adopted mom Cornelia Grayson, her baby brother Calvin Grayson, and her eldest son Calvin Bernard Thompson Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sister Lorraine Lewis (Jerry Lewis); her beloved children Monica Grayson, Robert Grayson, Alexandria Andrews, and Laquitta Andrews; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Joyce’s life was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. She loved cooking, spending time with her family, and shopping – especially if it was something purple! Known for her blunt honesty, quick humor, and lively spirit, Joyce had a way of brightening every room she entered. Her greatest joy, besides her family, was making people laugh – whether by telling jokes or sharing her candid opinions.
She will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and her ability to be unapologetically herself. Joyce Annette Andrews lived life boldly and left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light that will never be forgotten. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Joyce A.
