John Louis Ortiz, age 60 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024.
He was the son of Mary Ann Conklin of Nashville, TN. And the late John Hiram Ortiz of New York.
John is survived by his partner, Jamie Kennedy of Nashville, TN, and step-father Walter Conklin and step-brother, Walter Conklin, Jr.; Cousins, Maybelle Basham, Susan Kennedy both of Murfreesboro; Aunt, Evelyn Casal of New York and many cousins from New York; Uncle, Don Mortel of Beavercreek, Oh.; Cousins, Ben H. Burks of Vlias N. C., Donna Mortel Evans of Rockville, Md., Barbara Silvis of Sheboygan, Wi; Cousins, Barre Burks of Greenville N.C., Barclay Burks of Atlanta, Ga.; Special friends, Chad and Diane Mabry; Angel Hummer of Woodbury, Tn, Michael Deal of Gadsden, Al, Rene Pankey of Gadsden, Ala., Jill Black Turner, Karen & Michael Grant, Ferman Waysi of Antioch, Tn. And many friends at TJ Maxx where he worked for nearly 20 years.
Visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home at 820 S. Church Street in Murfreesboro, TN.
The service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Jennings & Ayers with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery 519 Greenland Dr, Murfreesboro, Tn. 37130
