John Haverty passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and laughter.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Suk Cha; his sister Jennifer and nephew Ray; his sister Jamie and niece Julia; his daughter, Kimarie; his son, Michael; and his grandchildren, Ryan and Caroline.
After serving his country with honor in Vietnam and a career spanning over three decades, first in the US Army and then supporting government projects around the world, John continued to give back to his community through years of volunteer work at his local church.
A man of strong values and a steady hand, he was also known for his sharp wit and sense of humor.
He often found joy in simple pleasures – casting a line on a quiet morning, exploring new places with his family, and watching football on the weekends.
John’s legacy of love, service, and strength lives on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
