Mr. Joe Lapham age 75 of the Bloomington Springs Community in Putnam County ended his earthly journey on at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday evening June 17, 2026 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center where he was admitted at 2:50 p.m. that afternoon suffering from cardiac complications.
Mr. Lapham was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where the family held a private viewing on Tuesday morning June 23rd at 11 a.m.
A memorial celebration of life will be observed at the Peyton Creek Baptist Church in the Monoville Community with the day and hour to be announced. The church pastor, Bro. Josh Gibbs will officiate and family members will deliver the eulogy.
The eldest of three children, a son and two daughters, he was born Leland Chandous Lapham III in Haverhill in Essex County, Massachusetts and was the son of the late Leland Chandous Lapham Jr. and Mary Elizabeth White Lapham.
Mr. Lapham attended the Dixie Hollands High School in St. Petersburg, Florida where he received his General Education Degree.
Mr. Lapham was a retired butcher and meat cutter and was a non-denominational Christian.
Mr. Lapham III relocated to the Bloomington Springs Community from Lititz, Pennsylvania in 2013.
He truly enjoyed the country life, being in the outside and fishing.
Surviving is his life partner, Sharon Weber of Bloomington Springs, daughter, Michelle Lapham and fiancée Dan Diehm of Lititz, Pennsylvania; three sons, Joe Lapham IV and wife Lisa of the Riddleton Community, Joshua Lapham of Lititz, Pennsylvania, Jonathan Lapham of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; mother of Joe III’s children, Kathleen Haldeman of Manheim, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Faith Nicola and husband Bill, Diane Hynds and husband Bob all of Senoia, Georgia; five grandchildren, Jessica Lee Lord and husband Josh, Jacob Lapham all of the Riddleton Community;, Jada Lapham of Seminole, Florida, Liliana Diehm and Dawson Diehm of Lititz, Pennsylvania; two great-grandchildren, Wesley Lord and Easton Lord both of the Riddleton Community.
