Joe Kenneth Hulsey, age 91, of Goodlettsville, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 at AHC Vanco Manor.
Mr. Hulsey was born July 31, 1933 in Cedar Hill, TN to the late Roma Lee and Annie Laura McCormick Hulsey.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a logger. He loved all animals, loved fishing and gardening and loved westerns. He especially loved his beloved puppy dog, “Daisy” and his cat, “Carol Ann”.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hulsey is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Gray and his brother, Gene Hulsey.
Mr. Hulsey is survived by his wife, Peggy Kilgore Hulsey; step-son, Jimmy Defore; daughters and son-in-law, Larna Jean Martindale and Rhonda and Todd Elmore. Mr. Elmore also leaves behind five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren who will miss him very much.
A Graveside service was held Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11 am in the Springfield Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow with Todd Elmore, J.T. Elmore, Troy Elmore, Shane Hanson, Trenton Ferrell and Tommy Weaver serving as pallbearers. No visitation will be held prior to the graveside service.
