A Life Full of Love and Laughter: Remembering Joan Simmons

Joan Simmons, 76, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 13, 2025, in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Agnes, her first husband, Aubrey, her daughter, Michelle, and her loving husband of 43 years, Clifton. She is survived by her children Megan and Matthew, her sons-in-law Jerry and Erich, her daughter-in-law Ashton, her brother Larry, her sister-in-law Jean, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Joan loved spending time with her family and vacationing in Key West, Florida where she enjoyed reading on the balcony near the ocean. Joan’s spirited personality and humor brought warmth to everyone around her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication continues to inspire all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, we will forever cherish the joyful memories she created with us.
The family will greet friends prior to the service on January 21, 2025, 10 am until 12 pm. A service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held at 12 pm CST with graveside following. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory.
