Following his military service, Jesse embarked on a career with the Louisville & Nashville Railroad (L&N Railroad), where he was employed for many years.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Irene King. He is also predeceased by his siblings Margaret Donnell (Howard), Josephine Daugherty (Buford), Betty Barrett (Elwood), and Hugh Roy King (Mary).
Jesse is survived by his sisters Shirley Holt and Jackie King. He was also a beloved uncle to multiple nieces and nephews.
Throughout his life, Jesse Thomas King’s contributions in both military service and the railroad industry earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and loved ones alike, emblematic of a generation that built the foundations of modern America.
His passing marks the conclusion of a life well-lived. Jesse Thomas King will be remembered with honor and gratitude by all who knew him.
