Jerry Wayne Tucker, 67 of Nashville passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born May 29, 1959 in Nashville, TN to the late Wayne Tucker and the late Phyllis Marie Sanderson.
Jerry graduated from Berrien High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force at the Moody Air Force Base in 1978. After returning home he worked for Textron for 15 years and Quick Track for 15 years. He was an independent contractor for 30 plus years for different banks. Jerry attended the Cross Church in Nashville and was a member of the Evangelical Temple in Jacksonville, FL until he moved to Georgia.
Jerry loved to be on the water fishing day or night. It did not matter if the fish were biting, he was always gained to see what he could catch. He loved to watch the Georgia Bulldogs and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jerry was always dedicated to his family. They were the apple of his eye. He leaves behind his wife, Kim Pafford Tucker of Nashville; daughter, Amber Tucker of Valdosta; sons, Brandon Pafford, Dustin Tucker, and Matt Tucker all of Valdosta; grandchildren, Taylor Pafford, Kyron Wallace, Kameryn Wallace, Karyssa Wallace, and Lukas Pafford; great grandchildren, Zackery Roberts, Jr.; sister, Nickin (Michael) Touchton of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Shane (Chris) Sanderson of Jacksonville, FL; brothers-in-law, Buddy (Susan) Pafford of Sanderson FL, William (Dee) Pafford of Sorrento, Louisiana, and Cavin Pafford of Nashville; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Martin officiating and Shane Sanderson, & Roger Prior giving the eulogy of Jerry’s life. Interment will follow at Fletcher Cemetery in Alapaha. The family will be receiving friends an hour prior to the service.
