Jeff London
February 16, 2024
Jeff London’s purple pen ran out of ink on February 16, 2024. The artist famous for his Caustic Merriment, People Furniture, and game designs was born on December 11, 1942, in New Haven, CT, and died in Nashville, TN.
Jeff’s mind was a pinball machine of audacity and encouragement-those of us who joined him became balls bouncing off his bumpers, making creative bells ring and idea lights flash.
The last time Jeff was in the New York Times, his work was described as “Caustic Merriment, a hard-humored art that makes you laugh at things you usually don’t”.
Besides his art, he leaves behind a trail of makers and creators, who he inspired by example, kind words, and hugs-as well as his children, Tina and Jeffer, and grandchildren, Isaline, Naomi, Ethan, and Mathieu.
