Jay Harold Brewer was born on June 2, 1949, he died on April 7, 2026. He was the son of John Harold Brewer and Mary Brewer. His dad served in the Army during WWII, then had a career in carpet manufacturing. His mother was a housewife and mother to Jay and his younger sister, Sherry.
He is survived by his three children, Joshua Brewer, Phoenix, AZ, Julie Ping (Adam), Hardyville, KY and Jordan Brewer (Amber) Bowling Green, KY; nine grandchildren: Michael Bryant, Derrick Ping, Katelyn Ping, Dustin Ping, Brylan Brewer, Emma Brewer, Alex Brewer, Jackson Brewer And Braxton Brewer; one sister, Sherry Hullendar (Rudy), Tunnel Hill, GA.
Jay was a graduate of Freed-Hardeman College and David Lipscomb College. He loved his books and studying religion and philosophy and was a minister for a few years. In later years he worked in retail and as a security guard. He excelled at playing Chet Atkins style guitar and he was an avid chess player once defeating the Utah state champion.
