James Robert Brown Sr., age 84, of Joelton, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Born September 13, 1941 to the late James and Marguerite Brown of Nashville, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Uncles Bert Lane, and Ed Lane; and Grandmother Nellie Lane.
Survived by his children, Julie Brown, Jennifer Baker, Jim (Anna) Brown; Sister Adae Graham; and grandchildren, Lillian Baker, Adam Brown; and several Nieces and Nephews.
A graduate of Cumberland high school where he excelled in football as an Allstate kicker and center. After school, he married Nancy Johns of Joelton Tennessee, and raised three children. He joined the Nashville Fire Department in 1973 and served for 30 years with many accomplishments.
He love hunting, fishing, and music. After retirement he traveled to many locations around the world. He found himself loving the great state of Texas where he lived for over 20 years. He was a lover of Jesus Christ, his savior and faithful to his church.
Visitation will take place at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home on Sunday, November 23rd from 1 P.M. until 6 P.M. with a Rosary recital taking place at 1 P.M. Visitation will continue on Monday, from 10 A.M. until the time of Service at 11 A.M. Interment follows Service at Williams Cemetery in White Bluff, Tennessee. https://www.andersonandgarrett.com
