James “Jim” Clay, Sr., age 83, of Hermitage, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Preceded in death by daughter, Theresa Clay.
Survived by wife, Gwen Clay; daughters, Lisa (Jim) Greer and Angie (Cuda) Roberson; son, James “Jim” (Kim) Clay, Jr.; children’s mother, Eleanor Clay; stepchildren, Tina Redd and Mike (Denise) Redd; grandchildren, Cody (Brianna) Clark, Jessica (Sean) Downs, Ryan Roberson, Cory (Sydney) Roberson, Bobby Samuels, Brandon Clay, Chase Roberson and Carson Clay; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by Wendell Byrd on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment with Military Honors at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 3:00 -7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 615-331-1952. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
