James “J.C.” Spiceland V, age 32, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away on June 30, 2026. He was born May 31, 1994, in Donelson, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, James Spiceland IV, his grandmother, Judy Tolbert, and grandfather James Spiceland III. He is survived by his mother Sarah Spiceland, his brother, Jerrod Spiceland, his aunts Bobbie Hemby, Amanda Hemby, Stephanie Collier, and Megan Anderson, his uncle, Stacey Spiceland, his many cousins and extended family, his grandfathers Troy Tolbert and Steve Greer, and his grandmother Diane Spiceland.
J.C. was a lifetime resident of Old Hickory, TN. He worked for the United States Postal Service. J.C.’s very being could bring comfort to anyone and everyone in the room. He was a very compassionate person, and he loved his parents and his brother dearly. He was a devoted son, a loving brother, a cherished grandchild, and a beloved nephew and cousin. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his kind, caring spirit touched the lives of everyone he knew.
Known for having a heart of gold, J.C. was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His compassion, generosity, and selfless nature will be remembered as some of his greatest gifts.
He had a special love for dogs, who brought him endless joy and companionship. More recently, he discovered a passion for traveling and found happiness in exploring new places and creating lasting memories along the way.
Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the kindness he gave will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered and loved.
In lieu of a service of any kind, there will be a Celebration of Life, at a later date, held by his mother, brother, and aunts.
