James Carpenter Obituary
James Albert Carpenter, age 81, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on April 11, 2026. He was born December 22, 1944, to the late Florence Elizabeth Carpenter and Albert Holt Carpenter.
James was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Tant.
He is lovingly remembered by sister, Mary Peyton (Wayne); nephews, Jay Tant, Evan Peyton; and niece, Emily Peyton.
“Jim” dedicated many years of his professional life as a Warranty Service Manager with Covington Detroit Diesel, where he retired with fifty years of employment.
Outside of his career, Jim found great joy in life on the water. He cherished time spent boating with friends and family on Percy Priest Lake, creating lasting memories and enjoying the peacefulness of the lake he loved so much.
He will be remembered as a kind and steady presence deeply valued by those who knew him.
