Helen “Frosty” Jones Worley of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 100.

Frosty was born on June 24th, 1924 in Nashville, the daughter of John Woodfin Jones and Helen Scholl Jones.

In September 1944, Frosty married James Douglas “Doug” Worley in Atlanta, Georgia. The couple moved across the country with Doug’s active service in the Air Force before putting down permanent roots in Nashville in 1972. Frosty was a long-tenured banking professional in the Middle Tennessee community.

They were proud and loving parents to James Douglas “Chip” Worley, Jr. and Shirley Jane “Tissy” Worley Harrington. Frosty was a devoted fanatic of the Tennessee Titans and was always excited for football season to arrive.

Frosty and Doug were long-standing beloved members of Westminster Presbyterian Church on West End Avenue. Frosty was very active in the congregation for more than six decades, and she enjoyed weekly visits and companionship from many dear friends until the end of her life. Her church family celebrated her 100th birthday in June 2024 in spectacular fashion!

Ms. Worley is survived by her son James Douglas “Chip” Worley, Jr., of Nashville, TN, Mary “Shannon” Worley Helfenberger (Shane) of Nolensville, TN, and great-grandson Andrew Shane “Drew” Helfenberger, Jr. of Nolensville, TN.

Ms. Worley was preceded in death by her husband James Douglas “Doug” Worley and daughter Shirley Jane “Tissy” Worley Harrington.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20th, 2024 from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home located at 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN with a graveside service to follow. https://www.harpethhills.com

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Alive Hospice, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
