Harold Milton Johnson, born on August 19, 1957, passed away on May 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and a life well lived. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, loyal brother, and cherished friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Harold was survived by his wife of 37 years, Shelia Johnson, and by his daughter Jennifer Johnson. He was a proud grandfather to Michael and Dakota, and he also leaves behind his brothers, Stephen Johnson and Jerry Johnson, his sisters, Ruth Bush and Joyce Walker, and several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Johnson, his father, Allen Chesterfield Johnson, and his brothers, Mike Johnson, Allen Johnson, and David Johnson.

Harold spent his life as a business owner and auto mechanic, and he was known far and wide for being dependable, and gifted with his hands. There was never a car he could not fix, and there was never a stranger he could not turn into a friend in the pits. He was an avid race car fan and took great pride in being the tech man at Highland Rim Speedway, where his knowledge, dedication, and steady presence earned the respect of many. He especially loved working on his drag car with his nephew Tyler, a time that brought him joy and reflected the bond he shared with his family.

He was known as a friendly man who made people feel welcome, and his easy manner and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Harold will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of racing, and the many ways he showed care for his family and friends. His life was marked by loyalty, skill, and a genuine kindness that made him a blessing to those around him. Though his absence leaves a great emptiness, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
