Gloria Sanders Riches passed away on November 8, 2025, from a short illness.
Gloria was born and lived in Davidson County her entire life. She was a member of Burnette Chapel Church of Christ. She was in the mortgage and real estate business for over 50 years, serving as Vice President of Dobson & Johnson Inc., at the time was the largest real estate firm in Nashville.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of over 66 years, Robert “Bob” Riches; her parents, Enola and Eskridge Sanders; son-in-law, Dave Robinson; brother, William Eskridge Sanders Jr.; sister and beloved brother-in-law, Joyce and Eugene Rowlett; sister, Permelia Sanders; and great nephew, Joshua Crafton.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Sharon Robinson; two grandsons, Rob (Connie) Robinson and Jay (Brandi) Robinson; two great-grandchildren, Kayla (Brandon) Compton and Ethan Robinson; and two great-great-grandchildren, Brooks and Scottie Compton. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Clara Sanders, and several nieces and nephews.
At her request, a graveside service will be conducted by Joey Spann at Woodlawn Cemetery on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Rob, Jay and Ethan Robinson, Brandon Compton, Kenneth and Steve Rowlett, Billy and Kevin Sanders, and Richard Bryan.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Ben Womack, Vanderbilt Medical Center, for all the years of care, compassion and love shown to Gloria.
