Gloria “Cookie” Lipari, of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
She was born in Nashville to the late William “Bill” and Sarah Dunn. She was a graduate of Glencliff High School and spent many years as a professional seamstress, dental office manager, and was an avid reader. In later years she enjoyed being a full-time grandmother called Meme to all her grandkids.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Lieutenant Colonel William Ronald Dunn; and niece, Brigitte Dunn.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Karen (Mike) Harrison and Tammie Margolese; grandchildren, Sarah Elaine “Lainey”, Gracey, Wesley, and Riley; adopted daughter, Linda Bryant, and her children, Elijah, Alicia, Shane, and Savannah, and their children; nephew, Marc (Tish) Dunn, and their children, Hannah, Samuel, and Jonathan; and many friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home located at 660 Thompson Lane in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Service will begin in the Chapel at 2:00 PM. Cookie will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service.
