Glenda-Sue-Dukes-Fulghum

Glenda Sue (Dukes) Fulghum was called to “glory” on April 13, 2025, where she will remain with her Heavenly Father. She was born on June 2, 1945 to parents, Robert and Mable Dukes.

Glenda became a mother at the age of seventeen. She met many struggles and adversities along the way, but she did so with dignity and grace as God tell us in Proverbs 31:25, “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.”

Glenda was always excited to learn new things! She worked at the office for over twenty years. Throughout her career, she enjoyed cake decorating, flower arranging, home decorating, weddings, and party decorating for events – and she did it all with her “perfect touch”. As she became older, her passion for dance became her favorite pastime. She would “cut a rug” on ANY dance floor to just about any genre of music! The beautiful smile o her face said it all! She also loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. Her favorite gospel song was,”My God Is Real!” and her signature country song was “Teardrops Were Pennies”.

Glenda spent her final two and one-half years residing at Quail Ridge Memory Care Facility where she GUESS WHAT! . . . She was the life of the dance party, of course! Glenda was such a beautiful soul. You could always see the Spirit of Christ in her, always with a heart full of love. The biggest gift she gave to her family was how to love one another and mostly how to love the LORD and that all things are possible through Him!

“Mothers are nothing short than a gift from God.”

Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Fulghum; her parents, Robert and Mable Dukes; her sister, Janie Northcutt; her daughter, Renee; granddaughter, Brooke Northcutt; and son-in-law, Dale Ozier.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheree Ozier; son, Troy Lewellen (Casey); grandchildren Tyler, Leah, Kalen “T.J.”, Hannah, Corrine “Cori”; and great-grandchildren Ryan, Braiden, Sawyer, Harlow; and her nieces Teresa, Tammy, Amy, and Stephanie.
