Gladys Miller Boaz, age 94 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
Preceded in death by husband, Emery Miller; daughter Elissa Poole; and granddaughter, Audrey Follis McCrary.
Gladys owned and operated her own Beauty Shop for many years. She was a faithful member of Wingate Church of Christ where she taught Ladies Bible Classes for many years. She was affectionately known as “Mama Miller” to hundreds of young people. She was well loved and respected by everyone.
Survived by husband, Carl A. Boaz; daughters, Melanie Proctor, Nan (Eric) Timmons and Alisa (Tim) Jones; sons, Gary (Jessica) Miller, Don (Teresa) Boaz and Gilbert Boaz; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Stephen) Shirley, Ben Proctor, Abby (Kyle) Carter, Maggie (Kevin) Edwards, Stephanie (Dan) Carter, Jennifer (Todd) Merritts, Jason (Crystal) Poole, Jacob (Michele) Follis, Michael Timmons, Erica King, Wayne (Sheryl) Boaz, Audrey (Cameron) Smith, Alexandrea (John) Reynolds, Abigail (Grayson) Simmons, Adrianne (Chris) McGowan, Kimberly Boaz, Willis Boaz, Brittney Boaz and Jeremy Boaz; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Jeff Bell, Jerry Maxwell, Wendell Byrd and Don Boaz. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Jacob Follis, Jason Poole, Ben Proctor, Kade Mellons, Justin Herndon and Jordan Shirley.
