Frederick Weems Hull, born November 5, 1947, in Nashville, TN, — known to many as Fred, and in his childhood days as Rick, lovingly called Daddy and Bubba, a devoted husband, father, lifelong friend, and cherished neighbor.
A graduate of Hillsboro High School in Nashville, TN, Class of 1966, Fred stayed close to his high school classmates and deeply treasured those lasting friendships. He was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and a heart as big as his stories.
Fred proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from August 1966 to August 1970 as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. He was deeply proud of his service, and his love for his country was a guiding force throughout his life.
Over the years, Fred held many jobs, but none brought him more pride and joy than his time at Zep for approximately 20 years, where he was recognized as a top salesman many times. His customers and colleagues valued his dedication, honesty, and freely offered friendship. He was a true professional, respected by all who worked with him.
Fred was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who found peace in nature. A proud resident of Sunnyside Drive, he was the kind of neighbor everyone hopes to have — generous, dependable, and always ready with a laugh or a helping hand.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Frederick and Kathryn Weems Hull. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Robin Hull; his brother Charles “Gary” Hull (Cheryl); sister Ginger Harper (Mike); son Charles “Chip” Alfred Hull; daughter Michel Fincher (Vince); grandchildren Ashton Hull and Taylor-Blake Coe; and his beloved dog, Rocky.
Fred’s legacy of service, kindness, and laughter lives on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family will be forever grateful for the unwavering love and support of Muriel Shaw and the care provided at NHC Place at the Trace.
