Eshighan-Eshi-Fakhoorian

Eshighan “Eshi” Fakhoorian was born on April 3, 1943, in Tehran, Iran to mother Khatoun and father Avadis. He passed away at his home in Nashville, TN on February 19, 2023, at the age of 79.

He was the oldest of 4 children, two brothers and one sister. At the age of 11 his father passed away and he took on the role of man of the house.

At the age of 33 he met and married Janet Arsenian. Together they shared 47 years and three children, Ryan, Rudy, and Adrian.

During the Revolutionary war in 1986, they decided to pack up what they could carry with three kids in tow and start the journey to America in hopes of a better future for their children. The journey was long and hard, especially knowing very little English and having three small kids under the age of seven. They would eventually make Nashville their home where they have lived for the past 35 years.

Eshi and Janet’s eldest son, Ryan is married to his wife, Kristie of 18 years. Together they have a son. Ayden, 15 and two daughters, Ruby, 13 and Bella Mae, 4.

Rudy, Eshi and Janet’s youngest son, is single and currently only has two loves in his life…his mom and his dog, Mika.

The youngest of 3 and only daughter, Adrian(Audi) married Tyler Parish in October 2021 and share love for their dog, Rolo.

At a young age, Eshi had a love for the outdoors and sports. Before leaving Iran he was climbing snowcapped mountains and when he wasn’t climbing them he was skiing them and if he wasn’t skiing them he was cycling around them. If there was no bike, he’d be running. Cycling was his true love and passion. Anyone in and around the cycling community knew who he was or knew the name, Eshighan.

Eshi, better known as Papa, was so very loved and so loved his family. His wife, his kids and his grandkids were his whole life.

From Papa to Grandkids…..
Ayden- My life. My spirit. My everything.
Ruby- My sweetheart and my love.
Bella Mae- How fast she talks. My little bird. My pretty.
