Elsie Cothran – Age 85 of Nashville, TN. Passed peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Preceded in death by husband, Jerry Cothran; son, Barry Cothran; parents, Clifford and Ina Stockard; brothers, Robert, Harvel and Edmond Stockard; sisters, Marie, Mamie, Lou Ella, Bertha, Grace and Dorothy Jo. Elsie and her late husband owned and operated Nashville Bindery. Elsie had a contagious smile and unwavering love. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survived by grandchildren, Barry Cothran, Jr. (Cheryl Hern), Roger (Amanda) Cothran, Matthew (Christina) Cothran; and their mother, Tisha Cothran; great-grandchildren, Madison and Arrow Cothran; sister, Pauline Stockard Kilburn; sisters-in-law, Marie Cothran, Christine Binkley and June Burks; special friend and caregiver, Tweety; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted by David and Jeff Stockard on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. (visitation 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Les Reed, Justin Reed, Herb Agner, Thomas Wisdom, Randy Cothran and Steve Crouch. Memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice.
